About Skahfee Studios
Skahfee Studios is the online home of artist, illustrator, and author Scott W Smith. I post all of my available art here for you to view and purchase. If you are considering purchasing from Skahfee Studios, please know that your purchase represents support to an independent artist who would greatly appreciate your contribution!
I want to take this opportunity to thank you very much for visiting my site, and for taking enough of an interest to clicking through to my About page! Believe it or not, every single view of my website gives me encouragement and confidence to continue living as a full-time artist, and it really means a lot to me!
So... what is a Skahfee?
"Skahfee" is the online persona I've adopted for myself. It turns out that there are like a bajillion people named Scott Smith, and they're all on the internet. It's nice for when I'd like to blend into the annonymous crowd, but not so nice when I'd like people to be able to find me. So... rather than going by my given name, I go by Skahfee.
I know, that doesn't really answer the question. Suffice it to say that "Skahfee" is an old name that I've drug around for a very long time. It had roots in actual meaning, but believe me when I say that any tiny amount of curiosity you might have about it is more interesting than the true origins of the name. So, perhaps I'll leave it to your imagination, for now. :)
Who else is Skahfee Studios?
I'd be remiss if I made Skahfee Studios out to be a one-man operation. While the vast majority of the art and other random items you'll find here are all dreamed up and created by me, I need to give credit where it's due to my lovely, talented, and business-minded wife, Kelly. Without her, I'd fall horribly behind on the less fun and creative aspects of running a small business. So, if you're enjoying Skahfee Studios and my work here, send a shout-out of love to Kelly by using the Contact link up above. Thanks!
More about Scott
I'm a thirty-something geek, living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest forest of Washougal, Washington with my wife Kelly, my daughter Fiona, and our fuzzy minions, Max,Eowyn, and THOR. We're transplants from Chicagoland and deeply enjoying the mountains, forests, beaches, and occasionally the civilization of our new home.
I first started dabbling in digital art about a dozen years ago, when I could often be found playing with photo manipulation at my PC while my buddies played video games in the background. Since then, I've found my own voice and style in typography and in illustration.
I really love to meet fellow geeks too! Drop me a line via the social web, or using the Contact link here, even if it's just to say hi and geek out about the upcoming season of Game of Thrones or the new Star Wars movies that are on their way (OMG!!!!)
